Love With Food July Review

Love With Food helps you discover new organic, all-natural snacks delivered to your door every month. The subscription membership starts as low as $10/month. Every month, Love With Food members will receive a curated box of unique, hard-to-find tasty snacks which varies based on seasonal themes.
For every box sold, they donate a meal to several food banks such as the Feeding America Network and Share Our Strength - No Kid Hungry.

There are 2 different box sizes:
My husband and I are huge foodies. We love trying out new things and this subscription is really cool with how it is charitable.  We get to help someone else while learning about new snacks. Definitely a win-win. We chose to go with the Deluxe Box. More snacks and more donated.

This month’s theme was Happy Camper.
First peek at what's inside and detailed information list

My 8 month old son and 4 month old kitten both wanted some LWF!

 The full Deluxe Box

White cheddar bean puffs, blue tortilla chips, terra potato/beet chips, butter crisp cookies, lentil trail mix

Fruit clusters, gourmet marshmallows,  fruit/nut bars, lentil crackers, fruit chews, cocoa nuggets

Thoughts:
I haven't tried anything out of July's box yet. Waiting on my husband to try the snacks with me. I will say this is the first box I have found generally underwhelming and repetitive and boring. Too many lentil snacks and I feel like we get granola in every box. I'm excited to try the marshmallows and chocolate nuggets. Maybe once we go through the entire box my opinion will change. I hope. Definitely sick of granola, tea, dried fruit etc. Blah.
I will update this later with good news (hopefully)

This month’s theme was Take Me Out To The Ballgame.
They always include a detailed list of what is in the box.

I seriously have to shut him up in the bedroom when LWF comes so I can open it in peace and take my blog pictures lol

Nice, packed box!

Dried cherries, ginger cookie, fruit snacks, granola, bubble gum

BBQ sauce, chocolate filled cookies, baked cheddar french fries, white cheddar popcorn and caramel corn and vegetable dipping chips

Thoughts:
Our favorite was both flavors of popcorn. Baked fries were good but needed some heat. Dried cherries went to my rabbits. (We don't like dried fruit here) the chocolate cookies were amazing,  tasted like koala cookies.  Ginger bread cookie was a pleasant suprise. Reminded me of the holidays, good amount of cayenne. The organic bubble gum had an odd taste. . Have yet to try vegetable dipping chips, granola (which apparently is pb&j flavored) or bbq sauce. (Wondering what to do with such a small bottle?) The fruit snacks were tasty but odd consistency.

Overall this was a nice box. If we can find at least a couple new snacks that we would buy again in the future I label the month's box a sucess.

Citrus Lane June Review

Citrus Lane is a monthly box subscription with products specifically chosen for your child based on their age and gender. They usually include 4-5 items, 1-2 are full sized and the other items are samples.
There are different plans you can pick from:

Our box:

Item Specifics:
Bumkins Winnie the Pooh Wet Bag
Value: $10.08
Verdict: This is so cute and of great quality. We are actually able to fit both Logans trunks and huge towel in it. It can be folded into a tiny square and stored in your diaper bag when not in use.  I want more of these!
Innobaby Fruit Teether
Value: $6.99
Verdict: This was by far Logans favorite item. He loves it and again great quality, great brand.

Plum Organics Squash Food Pouch
Value: $1.55
Verdict: Logan ate this right up for dinner. Some people complain about getting fruit pouches in their boxes but I don't mind. They get eaten and Plum Organics is on the more expensive side so it is never bought at the store.
Melissa & Doug Wooden Puzzle
Value: $9.99
Verdict: This puzzle.. for a 7 month old? I don't know about your 7 month old (or child under 18 months in general) but mine chews on everything and the designs are not embedded into the pieces so if he chewed on them the puzzle would get ruined. The package specifically says ages 12+ months. It's very cute but not age appropriate and will be set aside for Christmas at the EARLIEST. Wasn't too pleased about getting this in the 7 month box.
Episencial Baby Shampoo and Body Cleanser
Value: $6.50
Verdict: This was okay. It is high quality and smells nice but kind of expensive for the size and I personally found it very runny.

I also ordered a couple add ons for him, like the stroller toys and bib.

Not my absolute favorite box but still very nice.  I would have been ecstatic with everything if instead of the puzzle they would have included a toy more age appropriate.  Oh well, one less Christmas gift to buy.

Bonjour Jolie June Review

This is a review for a monthly box subscription called Bonjour Jolie.
For $16 + $5 shipping if you live in the United States you will receive a package of goodies right in time for that terrible time of the month.

Bonjour Jolie allows you to pick 25 feminine hygiene items each month and they include all sorts of extra pampering gifts. They pretty much have every brand of pad, panty liner,  tampon etc you can think of and if not you can request it.

You do not have to keep your selection to a specific item. If you want 25 tampons go for it, but you can get a few pads, a few liners, whatever as long as it adds up to 25 items.

The way I figure, you spend $8 or so each month on a box of tampons. For $13 more you get them delivered directly and in discreetly to your door as well as teas, body scrubs, chocolates, special hand picked gifts etc. Just what you need to start off a dreadful week.
This company is made up of 5 individuals.  Period. They put so much thought and heart into their boxes. Usually they stick with themes depending on the month or holiday.
I think Bonjour Jolie is an absolutely wonderful thing and $21 to put a smile on my face and make that week a little better is worth it. Plus no more buying tampons at the grocery store.
For the month of June they had a Favorite Things theme.

What's Inside:

 Louis thinks everything is his..

Vaseline lotion sample, advil packets, homemade soap, homemade eye shadow, body powder and feminine wipes.

Various teas, the most delicious sea salt caramels but also the most disgusting hard candies (sorry ladies..) a big chocolate chunk cookie and peach lollypop.

A handmade Indian wrap that can be used as a scarf or wrap around your waist to cover you while in a swimsuit.

Verdict: Miss.

I love this company, truely, but I was not impressed with this box. I was so excited to see it because I saw someone else post her silk wrap and it was a beautiful purple and pink color and mine looks like it came straight out of the amazon... not my style.. The hard candies are on my list of worst things I have ever tasted. The soap went in the trash. It smelled weird but I at least tried it and it made my skin feel gross.  I haven't tried the shadow yet, seems super messy in that tiny vial. The vaseline lotion had maybe 2 uses max, and it was fine, not anything to scream about. I will never use body powder,  ever. So pretty much I spent $21 on tampons and 2 delicious caramels. I realize I sound like such a snob and I don't mean to be. But it is my opinion and this just wasn't my favorite.  I contacted Bonjour Jolie and asked to do their Extras Only subscription which is everything but the feminine protection for $15 monthly instead of $21. They have me so stocked up on tampons anyway. Hopefully next month will be a better box for me.

Beauty Box 5 July Review

This is a review for a monthly beauty box subscription called Beauty Box 5. The 5 signifies that you get 5 different samples to try in your box. They have great customer service and I have been very happy so far.

General Info:

My box Included:

Full size Revlon Mascara
Value: $7.99
Verdict: This was really nice mascara. I had to apply a couple coats but I always do with any mascara. Great defining ability.

Full size Body Drench Lemon Lip Balm
Value: $3.99
Verdict: I loved this!  I am a lip balm snob and I constantly am wearing it. You will barely ever see me in an actual lip color. Just clean balm.

Anna Naturals Walnut Facial and Body Scrub Sample
Value: approximately $2.75
Verdict: I have not used this yet but judging by the smell and consistency , I bet it will be wonderful.

Full size Starlooks Obsidian Eye Pencil
Value: $12
Verdict: I have not used this either as of yet but I will update this when I have tried it. It is a nice color and size so we shall see!

Sample size Argan Oil Deep Hair Conditioning Mask
Value: $2.49
Verdict: This smells amazing and the packet gives you a few uses.  Made my hair feel stronger and softer.

Overall I thought this was a really nice box. Almost $30 worth of products for $12. Great value this month and I loved all of the full size items. Some people complained about the drugstore brands but I think it's nice they are letting you try things that are not only affordable but also findable. A lot of things birchbox hands out are either birchbox specific or extremely expensive.

Beauty Box 5 June Review

This is a review for a monthly beauty box subscription called Beauty Box 5. The 5 signifies that you get 5 different samples to try in your box. This is my first box with them and they happened to be running a special that made it completely free. Starting at the end of this month (30 days after I initially ordered my first box) I will be charged $12 for June's box and so on until I cancel.  I wasn't sure if I would keep this subscription after my freebie box as I already have ipsy and birchbox but I actually ended up really pleased with it.

General Info:

My box Included:

All of these products are phenomenal.  They really should be, as their full size jars are about $50 a piece for just a couple ounces. I would love the full size of everything but especially the soothing cream.

This smelled nice but was pretty watery. I wouldn't buy the full size.

This color is lovely and it is high quality polish.

Unfortunately this mascara was terrible.  Tiny wand, no volume, no curl, nothing. Wet n wild would have been better.

This gel smells amazing and is amazing.  I want the full size bottle!

Overall I thought this was a really nice box. Some people complained about the drugstore brands but I think it's nice they are letting you try things that are not only affordable but also findable. A lot of things birchbox hands out are either birchbox specific or extremely expensive.
